The new snow this week has fallen on rock in most areas. When the sun comes out today, any areas above threshold will have an increasing loose-wet problem. Any avalanches that do occur will have rocks and poor runout added to the consequence of getting caught.

No reported Cloudier in the east, fine in the west. Southeasterly gale 70 km/h, easing to easterly 30 km/h in the morning and then dying out in the afternoon. Freezing level 1000 metres, lifting to 1400 metres in the morning. Limited snow cover.
10-20cm of new snow fell this week with moderate SE winds. Before the storm, most areas were below threshold. Limited glaciers have had some early-season snow but have now been rained on with heavy rain and high freezing levels.
