Västra Vindelfjällen — Avalanche Forecast

The snow is mostly stable. In steep lee slopes with recently blown snow, small wind slab avalanches can still occur. Cracks and slab formation are signs that the snowpack is avalanche-prone. If the sun heats strongly, it is wise to keep a margin from steep sun-facing slopes where the snow can weaken and slide down.

Small avalanches in isolated locations or in extreme terrain.
