Západné Tatry — Bulletin d'avalanche

The likelihood of avalanches is gradually decreasing. As temperatures rise during the day, small spontaneous avalanches of wet snow may still occur. Any snow slides or avalanches that occur will mostly be small in scale, but in rocky, exposed terrain, they can pose a serious danger to people.

At elevations above 1,700 meters above sea level, there is still a continuous layer of snow. Its depth ranges from 15 to 30 cm. In gullies and hollows, there may be more snow in places. The snow lies on relatively warm ground without any old snow underneath, so its adhesion is very low. During the day, the snow will be wet on sun-exposed slopes at all elevations; it will freeze during cold nights. In the early morning hours, expect hard, frozen firn.
